Application

Interchangeable for both hind legs, designed for dogs recovering from orthopedic procedures (patella luxation, TPLO, cruciate repair) and to protect against hot spot irritation. Can be used over a full bandage to keep it clean or alone during later healing to allow airflow while protecting the incision. 

Step 1. Have the pet step into the vest first, securing it over the shoulders.

Step 2.  Pull the sleeve over the affected hind leg. Secure the hind leg sleeve under the abdomen with the adjustable strap and attach it to the vest by clipping them together. Adjust the clip for proper tension.

Step 3: Check the fit to ensure the garment is snug but comfortable, and that all sensitive areas are covered and protected. If the leg sleeve is too long at the cuff, it can be gently rolled up for a better fit.

Always monitor your pet for tolerance for the garment. Some animals may briefly freeze after application of the garment, this reaction is normal, and you should motivate your pet to normal function offering a treat or a toy.
