GingerLead is a support rehabilitation harness which helps older or disabled dogs with limited mobility. It is great for assisting dogs up and down stairs, in and out of vehicles, or out to urinate.
Aid for dogs suffering from arthritis, hip dysplasia, vestibular disease, degenerative myelopathy, or other debilitating conditions.
Care for dogs recovering from knee, hip or back injuries, or orthopedic procedures (TPLO, TTA, Total Hip Replacement, IVDD, Amputation).
Features
- No bunching
- Padded for comfort
- Integrated leash
- Adjustable for height
Integrated Leash
GingerLead is the only dog support rehabilitation harness that has an integrated leash which is an essential component for better control. It may be attached to: (1) a collar for control of younger, more exuberant dogs recovering from surgery, (2) a chest harness for older dogs needing additional support, or (3) detached for machine washing or if your dog’s particular condition does not require the leash.
Sizing
1) Support Pad Width
Measure from the front of the hind legs (in front of the penis for male dogs) to the base of the rib cage to determine the support pad width. For barrel-chested dogs (i.e. boxers), downsizing is common.
2) Strap Length
Measure starting where the handle of the GingerLead will rest in your hand (while you are standing upright), continue under your dog’s belly, up the other side, then back to your hand completing the loop. If it measures 37” or less, the Tall size should be considered.
